Pets in Balance

Christi Bester

To all the incredible pet parents out there, hello! My name is Christi Bester, and I am delighted to introduce myself as a newly graduated Veterinary Physiotherapist. This journey started with a simple belief: that our animal companions feel pain and joy just as deeply as we do, and they deserve every chance to live a life full of joy and comfort.

Crossing the graduation stage was a moment I’ll never forget, but the real highlights of my training were the moments spent in the clinic—seeing a dog take its first confident steps after treatment, or helping a horse move with renewed freedom. Those are the moments that fuel my passion. I’ve learned from the best in South Africa and abroad, and I’ve made a promise to myself and to every animal I meet: to always lead with kindness, to listen carefully (even to the silent signals), and to use my skills to make a genuine difference.

I see myself as an extension of your care for your pet. I’m here to support you, to guide you, and to celebrate every little victory with you. If your best friend is struggling with mobility or just isn’t their usual bouncy self, I would be honoured to help. Let’s roll up our sleeves and get them back to being their happy, tail-wagging, wonderful selves.

Bianca Duthie

Growing up on a Karoo farm, Bianca developed a deep-rooted love for animals and their well-being. This passion led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Physiotherapy from Equine-Librium College, graduating in 2023. Bianca is eager to embark on a meaningful career as a veterinary physiotherapist.

Bianca takes a special interest in the rehabilitation, conditioning and performance of canine athletes and is particularly fascinated by the interplay between biomechanics, conditioning, and injury prevention. She enjoys participating in obedience, mantrailing, and detection sports with her dog, Summit.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Bianca enjoys exploring the outdoors. Hiking, running, camping, and horse-riding are among her favorite activities. Although her studies have taken priority in recent years, she actively competed in endurance and eventing.
